Well, I've been wearing my hair in a little cornrow style for about a week. It started as me simply playing in my hair [I totally have hand in hair syndrome, like its crazy!] and ended up becoming a style. The back was [I'm in a big ol' fluffy braid-out remnant of my relaxed days, currently] braided straight down and then I put cowrie shells on the ends of those. Then the top was braided all creative and whatnot, I love doing creative braids. Then I pinned them in a sort of band kind-of. It was cute and very summery/relaxing. I kind looked like the girl from Crooklyn! LOL. But I took them out today after losing most of my shells and not knowing where I packed my bobby pins when I moved over to my new room, which is so great, btw.
So, now I'm in a braid-out, didn't feel like taking up so much time in the morning to unbraid them with care so I did it tonight and put my bonnet on very loose so that when I wake up it'll hopefully look the same. I sleep on my stomach so I should be fine, I hope ...
We shall see.
